Titan Volleyball off to a Stellar Start Through Nine Games

Are we surprised that the Titan volleyball squad is nearly perfect to kick off the year?  Not really, as the Titans look to build from the near perfect season from the 2023 campaign.

UWO kicked off this season in Colorado Springs for the Pikes Peak Challange, where they went 4-1 with wins over Colorado College, Transylvania University, and Millikin University, only losing their opening match against Gustavas Adolphus College.

Coming back from The Centennial State to America’s Dairyland, the Titans competed in the UW- Stevens Point Quadrangular, gathering wins against St. Norbert College and Lakeland University, and winning both matches in three sets.

The Titans hosted the Marty Petersen Invitational this past weekend where they beat Whitworth University, North Central College, and Auora University. All girls that have seen the floor this season have shown up and contributed but it’s been the performances of returning First-Team All-WIAC players Sami Perlberg and Riley Kindt.

Sophomore Sami Perlberg leads the Titans with 103 total points, 86 kills, and 246 total attacks. Fifth year senior Riley Kindt leads the Titans in defensive blocks and earned the first Kwik Trip player of the week on the young season.

The Titans will head to Holland, Michigan for the Hope College September Tournament this weekend at the Richard and Helen DeVos Fieldhouse. Then prepare for the WIAC home-opener vs Whitewater on September 18th.
