UW Oshkosh is one of six colleges and universities that has been awarded up to $10,000 in pro bono consulting services to aid campus climate efforts.
Second Nature, an organization focused on accelerating climate action in higher
education, announced the consulting services award last Wednesday, April 6th.
Chancellor Andrew Leavitt says this aid will help to accelerate the work of the
University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Climate Action Committee and provide expertise
from an outside perspective, and that this is just one part of a larger plan to move
UWO forward toward becoming more sustainable and climate neutral.”
Brad Spanbauer, UW Oshkosh’s sustainability director, said the consulting support
will fuel an intensive session of meetings focused on next steps toward achieving
climate neutrality at UWO.
UW Oshkosh is working toward its goal of being climate neutral by 2030.
The pro bono consulting opportunity was first announced in fall 2020 as a Second
Nature Solutions Center initiative, provided by Second Nature partners Brailsford
& Dunlavey and Customer First Renewables.
