Operations manager
This year’s Operations Manager is Aedan Applegate. Aedan is a Radio-TV-Film major with a minor in Music Industry’s. His goal for this year is for 90.3 WRST-FM to teach as many students as the station can because so that more people will be interested in working for the station. His favorite genre of music is rap and hip-hop with his favorite artists being Trippie Redd and Lil Uzi Vert.
Digital Content Manager
This year’s Digital Content Manager is Zachary Bellin. Zachary is majoring in Multimedia Journalism, minoring in Radio-TV-Film and pursuing certificates in Digital Content Creation, Media Literacy and Sports Media. His goal for this year is to continue growing as a multimedia journalist by applying skills learned in classes to his role at WRST and his work as an editor at the Advance-Titan. His favorite genres of music are rock and pop music, which means you can find him listening to a wide range of music. After graduating, he hopes to become a multimedia sports reporter in a major market that provides him with lots of opportunities to learn in a fast-paced environment and challenges him to continue to grow as a journalist.
News Director
This year’s News Director is Alex Wolf. Alex is majoring in Radio-TV-Film with a minor in Political Science. Alex hopes that this year he can not only continue writing and producing news for WRST, but also for the Advance-Titan and Titan TV, to help him grow as a journalist. Alex enjoys listening to rock and roll, with his favorite all-time band being Queen. His favorite song by Queen is “Under Pressure” by Queen featuring David Bowie. After college, Alex hopes to become a multimedia journalist that helps with the production end of things as well.
Sports Director
This year’s Sports Director is Alex Marzu. Alex’s major is Radio-TV-Film and is studying a minor in Advertising-Multimedia Journalism-Public Relations (AMP). His goal for this year is to teach as many students as he possibly can on how to correctly do sports broadcasts for WRST. His favorite genre of music is Alternative Rock, specifically artists and bands like Creed, Audioslave, Foo Fighters, Eminem and the Beastie Boys. After graduation, Alex hopes to find a job as a sports talk show host, where he can share a laugh with his co-workers.
Assistant sports director
This year’s Assistant Sports Director is Killian McNulty. Killian is majoring in Radio-TV-Film while getting certificates in coaching and one more undecided program. He would like to be able to balance his work at 90.3 WRST with school assignments so he can thrive at both, while leaving time aside for other work and events. Another goal Killian has set is to continue getting comfortable broadcasting sports in the booth. His favorite genre of music is 70’s-80’s era rock music, specifically Rush, Steely Dan and the Police. After he graduates, he hopes to find a job assisting sports broadcasts in any capacity.
Production Director
This year’s Production Director is Matthew Lange. Matthew is majoring in Radio-TV-Film with a Music Industry minor, as well as a certificate in Broadcast Engineering. This year, he aspires to run an award-winning music show and grow the popularity of his metal and rock focused show, “The Most Pit” as well as his oldies-oriented show, “Retro Rewind”. From his favorite genre of music, rock, Matthew enjoys listening to Van Halen, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen. After graduation, he hopes to become a disk jockey and broadcast engineer.
