UW Oshkosh Senior Devan Hohn is the winner of the 2022 Culver’s
Business Model Competition.
Two Weeks ago on April 7th, UW Oshkosh held its annual contest in which students present their own business models in hopes of winning prizes such as funding and access to other useful resources.
Devan Hohn, a senior special education major from Hortonville, earned the top
prize by presenting an inclusive martial arts school called Rising Phoenix Martial
Arts.
Hohn’s presentation won her more than $11,000 in cash and in-kind services.
Rising Phoenix will be open to all ages for training, but will have a main emphasis
on those with mild and significant disabilities and needs.
The objective is to create an environment where students of all ages and abilities will be able to succeed.
Second place went to Noah Bauer, a junior marketing major from Neenah.
Third place to Kevin Dwyer, a Campbellsport native working toward a master’s degree in
business administration.
Coby Rauls, a junior supply chain management major from Sun Prairie, won the People’s Choice Award.
