Operations manager

This year’s Operations Manager is Brianna Hone! Brianna is majoring in Radio-TV-Film, and completing certificates in Digital Marketing and Advertising. Her goal for this year is to get more student voices on-air! Brianna enjoys playing board games and video games with friends, and reading! She likes listening to Alternative Rock, but more recently Fall Out Boy. After graduating, she wants to start small and work her way up to something bigger in the radio world either as on-air talent or a some sort of management position!

Operations Assistant

This year’s Operations Assistant is Bailey Harkey! Bailey is majoring in Radio-TV-Film, and minoring in theater, French and Japanese. Her goal is to learn more in depth of the inner workings of a radio station and help fellow students with their shows for this semester! Bailey loves being involved in UWO’s theater department, reading, screenwriting, cooking new recipes, and sleeping.  She likes a pretty wide array of artists and genres such as K-pop, alternative rock, pop punk, musicals, and the occasional EDM/ glitch trap music. Her favorite artists include Stray Kids, Ashnikko, Yungblud, Palaye Royale, Xdinary Heros, Sleep Token, and Joey Valence & Brae, Megan Thee Stallion. After graduating, she wants to pursue acting, and eventually wants to work on the production of music videos and directing or screenwriting for movies.

Digital Content Manager

This year’s Digital Content Manager is Isabella Gould. Isabella is majoring in Interactive Web Management and minoring in Radio-TV-Film and Web and Mobile Development and hoping to receive certificates in Advertising, Digital Content Creation, and Web Design. Her goal for this year is to use what she is learning in her web design and advertising classes to reach new audiences through social media in promoting WRST. Some of her hobbies include dancing on the UWO dance team, working out, fishing, playing guitar, and coding. Isabella listens to a variety of genres including punk rock, folk, alternative, indie, contemporary, pop, and country. After graduating, she would like to work in web or software development.

News Director

This year’s News Director is Jacob Link! Jacob is double majoring in Radio-TV-Film and Multimedia Journalism. His goal for the year is to promote the radio station to get UWO students more involved in the station and to increase listenership among the student population. Some extra-curriculars include playing on UWO’s football team and being the assistant news editor for the Advance-Titan! Jacob enjoys a variety of music but depending on the day listens to alternative, rock, rap, and indie. After graduating, he wants to pursue a career in sports broadcasting!

Sports Director

This year’s Sports Director is Dylan Eckhart! Dylan is majoring in Radio-TV-Film, minoring in Communications, and completing certificates in Sports Media and Digital Content. His goals for this year are to expand WRST’s outreach to the campus community, as well as increase listenership for WRST sports broadcasts. Some of his hobbies include spending time outdoors, hunting, hiking, listening to music, going to the gym and hanging out with friends and family! Dylan likes listening to a variety of genres, his favorite being country. However, his favorite band is AC/DC because he’s always loved classic rock. After graduating, his dream job would be to continuing to do play-by-play, but wants to be involved in sports media/broadcasting in some way!

Sports Assistant

This year’s Sports Assistant is Dominic Lee! Dominic is currently majoring in Radio/TV/Film and minoring in Media Studies. Some of his goals this semester is to get more in tune with the behind-the-scenes part of WRST. He love running the board for games and really wants to understand the Ins and Outs of radio. On top of this personal goal, he really want to get his feet wet in calling Softball games! Besides being on-air, some of his hobbies include kayaking, playing videogames, and traveling. The music he tends to listen to is old rap. Late 1980s-early 2000s is generally what he loves listening to, specifically, Notorious BIG as well as Nas are his favorite artists. He also enjoys some late 2010s pop. Dom plans to work at a radio station being an On-Air DJ. He also really enjoys the world of marketing so he’s hoping to combine the two interests after graduation!

Production Director

This year’s Production Director is Aedan Applegate!  Aedan is  majoring in Radio-TV-Film and minoring in music production. His goal this year is to better understand the  different roles within the WRST program. Besides working at WRST, Aedan is a part of the badminton club and enjoys working out with his roommate. His favorite genres include rap and hiphop and his favorite artist is Trippe Red. Following college,  Aedan wants to work in foley sound or podcasting because he’s had so much fun working on the sports broadcasts with WRST.
