OSA Holds First VP and Presidential Debate Since 2019

On Wednesday, March 1st, Oshkosh Student Association held its first debate for President and Vice President since 2019. Three slates of candidates are in the running for OSA President and VP, and all six of them were able to sit and talk with each other and to the students.

The candidates included (President/VP):

Jana Metko and Devin Heinz

Ben Blaser and Jakob Rucinski

Anna Bubolz and Abdul-Karim Toheeb-Lawal

Each slate provided opening and closing statements, and each candidate was asked pre-determined questions that ranged from leadership experience and life balancing to dormitory issues like security and bathrooms. In addition, students in attendance were able to directly ask the candidates questions about important topics of their concern.

An electronic ballot will be sent to all UWO students on March 7th and 8th. Results will be posted shortly after.
