A special art exhibition for students continues through May 4th at the University’s annex gallery.
Li-Hsuan Hsu, assistant professor of art education, said the artworks were created by students studying a variety of different majors from business to nursing as part of the University Studies Program Quest 2 class.
This course focused on expanding students’ diverse ideas about world cultures, encouraging self-discovery as well as self-awareness and transforming understanding into effective leadership qualities.
The projects completed by students use the interdisciplinary connections of arts, leadership and sustainability with a goal to sustain students’ growth in their campus life and professional careers.
The title of the exhibition voted on the students was called, “Creating a Sustainable Future through Art and Leadership”.
The exhibit was supported by a research grant from UWO’s Sustainability Institute for Regional Transformations and will continue to run from 10 A.M. – 3 P.M. Monday-Friday and 1 – 4 P.M. Saturday and Sunday.
